What Is Leed Certified Building
The acronym LEED is ‘Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design’ and is a voluntarily constituted program for the benefit of developing a using the resources shrewdly and judiciously. The certification has been developed by the ‘U.S. Green Building Council’ who has the authority to internationally authorize a choilce of land on which a building can be constructed. The authority usually exercises its control over the kind of buildings that are constructed and also is able to prevent the construction if it foresees any kind of negative impact on the environment or its surrounding areas.
The leed certified building does not affect the ecosystem or the waterways and it promotes suitable kinds of landscapes that can especially reduce erosion. It also has the authority to issues diktats on the kind of lighting system and the heating appliances that are used so that it does not cause pollution. Proper use of water is of utmost importance and water efficiency is made to be considered seriously. The building are encouraged to fix in water efficiently fixtures so that there is not wastage of water. The authorities need to undergo the leed training program to certify. They also need to take up the BPI Certification to be authorized to assess the impact of buildings on the environment.
